Submitting a Merit Scholarship Application

We use an online system for our merit scholarship applications. Completing a general application will put you in the running for multiple scholarship opportunities. However, some opportunities may require additional steps beyond the general application. For most of our awards, students need to have completed 24 credits at UMass Boston. Additionally, in-state students would typically need to have a 3.3 or higher cumulative GPA to be eligible for consideration, while out-of-state students would typically need a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA. To be considered for the most opportunities we encourage qualified students to complete an application at the beginning of the fall semester. All applications require an unofficial transcript; degree audits cannot be used in place of an unofficial transcript. You can find directions to download your unofficial transcript from WISER HERE.

We are now accepting scholarship applications for the 2019/2020 academic year! You may complete a general scholarship application and view a list of all of our scholarship opportunities and deadlines HERE.

To begin the application, you will need to use the “Sign In” tab and enter your WISER credentials.
